For our shakedown cruise for 2025, we had a chilly but nice trip to Langley for a seafood lunch. There was more wood in the water than I’d ever seen, including a huge log in front of the navy base, a forest of logs at the north end of Hat Island, and a big one that just floated up to the boat while tied up in Langley. We hit the glass shop and chocolatier before a nice lunch at the Saltwater Fish House. On the way back the motor acted strange until I shut it off and raised it out of the water; I suspect a small log had gotten stuck in the propeller. It was very windy by the navy base.
